Jordan Wilson
Planner
Jordan Wilson is a planner who strives to help communities develop regenerative connections between their ecological, social, cultural, and economic assets. Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, his experience is rooted in community forestry and organic agriculture. He has worked on a variety of projects related to community economic development, land use planning, microbial ecology, ecosystem-based management, and carbon sequestration.
Jordan holds a Masters in Resource Management (Planning) from Simon Fraser University, as well as an Honours Degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, with a minor in Resource and Environmental Management. The aim of his master’s research was to explore the connection between land use planning and regenerative economic development. As a result of the research, he developed a decision-making framework to assist planning practitioners in facilitating regenerative economic development at the regional scale.
