Jordan Wilson
Planner
Jordan is a planner who strives to help communities develop reciprocal, beneficial relationships with each other and nature. Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, BC, Jordan’s experience stems from working with both non and for-profits in community forestry, organic agriculture, economic development, land surveying, and land use planning.
Building on this experience, Jordan completed a Masters of Resource Management (Planning) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in 2025. His thesis sought to develop an approach for utilizing land use planning tools to facilitate regenerative economic development, or economic development that ‘regenerates’ the assets it depends upon, for rural communities in British Columbia. The findings of this research has added a unique, value-add component to his project work at Modus Planning, Design, and Engagement. Through this work, he has further honed his craft in public engagement and facilitation, data analysis, land use regulation and policy development.
