Serena Yang is a planner with a passion for creating just, inclusive, and sustainable spaces and communities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Simon Fraser University. Having worked in the field of international education at SFU as well as with the SFU Centre for Dialogue and City of Burnaby, she brings a unique lens to stakeholder engagement.
Pairing technical skills in spatial and data analysis with communication skills in facilitation and engagement, she strives to unpack the multidimensions and intersections of complex systems.
In her spare time, you can find her exploring local bubble tea shops, playing spikeball, or baking sweet treats. She also enjoys exploring local neighbourhoods and the gems of public spaces.
