Members of MODUS led the development of a Sub-Area Plan for the District of Squamish’s
oceanfront peninsula. The work involved the development of policy directions, alternative
plans, policy options, and the draft plan, which was then completed by the District. The
process included on-going discussions with the three landowners, a design charrette and
extensive engagement with stakeholders and the public.

The plan is an integral part of the District’s Official Community Plan and will direct and shape land use, building design, parks and open space, transportation and infrastructure. It was developed as a sustainable neighbourhood, incorporating Green Shores approaches,
ambitious environmental targets, and best practice approaches to site challenges.
